Abstract: [Authors Note: This article discussed why the miscount on the beginning of new millennium and century was due to the shift from the Roman numbering system which had no zero to the Arabic numbering system which began with zero. Under the Roman counting system "9" was the 9th digit. Under the Arabic system, "9" is the 10th digit in the sequence beginning with zero.
